Joy found this article this morning, it is really interesting. HERE Technologies developers, in tandem with its pact with SAP, is working on new SAP software to integrate location and tracking functions into SAP’s Global Track and Trace solution.

The goal for the software is to track goods as they travel through the supply chain – indoors, outdoors and across multiple modalities. What I thought was interesting, is the technology works across Wi-Fi/cellular or Bluetooth Low Energy, so it’s not restricted to a satellite receiver.
